Where, oh where, should my baby sleep?

There's so many options for where your baby will sleep. It may change throughout the course of their first few years. Most new moms agonize over decorating and getting the nursery ready for baby's impending arrival only to find that a nursery doesn't end up being the best option for their family.

The Importance of Finding your Mom Squad

The Importance of Finding your Mom Squad

The term "mom squad" is becoming more and more common these days. I had never even heard it before I actually became a mom though.

Finding my mom squad has been invaluable. There's just nothing like finding a supportive group of women who are going through the same phases in life that you are.

Biting & Breastfeeding: Baby Shark Week Edition

Anybody else look forward to Shark Week on Discovery Channel every summer? I certainly do! One thing I do not look forward to is my tiny, adorable pint size shark who occasionally bites me while nursing. Not. a. fan. at. all.

I can be proud of breastfeeding without it meaning that I'm shaming you...

When Did We Become So Obsessed With All Babies Sleeping Exactly the Same?!

When Did We Become So Obsessed With All Babies Sleeping Exactly the Same?!

I don't know when this happened but frankly, it is sucking the joy out of motherhood (for me at least).

Someone please tell me who decided one day that every single baby on the planet needed to sleep the EXACT same way? Does this not sound ridiculous to anyone else? I sleep different from my husband and many others that I know. So if many of us sleep different then why can't babies?

Cherish Every Moment

Cherish Every Moment

Sometimes motherhood is a sleep-deprived, stressful blur. Sometimes we just want to put the baby in the crib to sleep in 5 minutes flat and get on the sofa with a bowl of ice cream to escape the day. But in those moments where it's the middle of the night, and baby is up for the thousandth time, I want you to do this.
