To Co-Sleep or Not to Co-Sleep?

Today it seems like most people say that everything is a SIDS risk. So much so, that many new moms are left feeling terrified of everything. I know I was. I heard over and over how dangerous it was to sleep with baby in bed with you but in reality, is this true? I don't think so. Yes, co-sleeping can be incredibly dangerous if not done safely (HERE are cosleeping safety tips). There are definitely precautions that need to be taken. But if you are taking these precautions I think co-sleeping can be incredibly beneficial to both mom and baby. After all, it's how moms and babies have slept for thousands of years.

Here is one of my favorite articles on the topic: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/arianna-huffington/james-mckenna-co-sleeping-expert_b_7119782.html

Have you co-slept or do you plan to co-sleep with any of your babies?

I came across your profile on Instagram via @dianawrote. Thank you for the link to the article about James McKenna! I hadn’t read that article before it know that he’s a huge supporter of co sleeping (with the right safety measures).

You’re welcome! There is certainly a lot of conflicting opinions out there about cosleeping but different things work for different families. It is nice to know how to cosleep safely and all the benefits it can have!
